Dr. Angela Robens is the proud founder and owner of Stowe Natural Family Wellness, which is the culmination of her effort to bring dynamic, life-altering, truly healing medicine to her community. She received her doctorate in naturopathic medicine and certificate in midwifery from Bastyr University. She is currently offering consultation and naturopathic medical services for clients near and far, focusing on the achievement of optimal health and the prevention of chronic disease for each client. She is also pursuing a fellowship in functional metabolic and nutritional medicine so she may bring this higher level of education back to her patients.

“ I became a physician after many years of working in the allopathic world as a registered nurse. I had seen the value and life-saving capacity in conventional medicine, but became frustrated with the band-aid-like approach of pharmaceuticals. Time and time again I would see the same person return to the hospital for a quick fix and then back to home again with prescriptions and without any real, deep change in their health. I longed for a more comprehensive, holistic approach to health care for my patients, so I went to naturopathic medical school so I could learn how to provide that care to them myself.”
“The principles of naturopathic medicine are what differentiate naturopathic physicians from their allopathic counterparts and are the foundation of my practice. I believe in nature’s ability to heal. I believe in educating my patients so that they may feel empowered to take charge of their own health. I believe in working with the body in the gentlest way possible to achieve a cure.“

Dr. Robens uses a combination of botanical medicine, homeopathy, counseling, and nutritional therapy guided by the European theory of biotherapeutic drainage to support each person at different phases of the healing process.

In her free time, you will find Dr. Robens in her garden, climbing, skiing, or spending time with her husband, William, and her children, Annie and Blaze.
