Alexis Chesney MS, ND, LAc is a naturopathic physician, acupuncturist, author and educator. Since 2010, Dr. Chesney has worked with patients of all ages on chronic disease, general wellness, nutrition and lifestyle counseling. She has dedicated her practice to working with patients who have complex chronic illness, and who often have diagnoses such as Lyme and vector-borne diseases, mold toxicity, mast cell activation syndrome, among other conditions. Dr. Chesney enjoys getting to the root cause of complex chronic illness and partnering with patients to find wellness and balance in their lives. Alexis Chesney MS, ND, LAc has a telehealth private practice and consulting business, and is on staff at Sojourns Community Health Clinic in Vermont. She is a licensed naturopathic physician in Vermont, New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

Dr. Chesney is the author of the book Preventing Lyme & Other Tick-Borne Diseases: Control Ticks in the Home Landscape; Prevent Infection Using Herbal Protocols; Treat Tick Bites with Natural Remedies released by Storey Publishing in 2020. A starred Library Journal review of Preventing Lyme says, “Lyme disease, and the debilitating conditions associated with it, is difficult to detect and treat, which makes this book by naturopathic physician and acupuncturist Chesney especially important. Alexis Chesney is also the author of the online course Preventing Lyme and Tick-Borne Disease: Ticks from Around the World, Diseases They Carry, Prevention and Acute Treatment. This course is an updated and expanded companion to the book Preventing Lyme. The recorded course covers ticks and tick-borne diseases from around the globe, updates prevention and acute treatment information, and includes references to over 200 peer-reviewed journal articles. 

Dr. Chesney has also created the Tick Preparedness Kit, a one-stop first-aid kit in the case of a tick bite. It includes the best tick removal tool on the market; a custom designed antimicrobial herbal tincture to target each of the pathogens found in a blacklegged deer tick; and items to help heal after a tick bite.

Dr. Chesney speaks and teaches widely on tick-borne disease prevention, diagnosis and treatment. She has been featured as an expert on tick-borne illness at professional conferences like the ILADS conference, patient-focused conferences, on talk radio and podcasts, and in various news publications. Dr. Chesney serves as a preceptor for the  International Lyme and Associated Diseases Educational Foundation (ILADEF) Physician Training Program (PTP). She also provides accredited continuing education training to nurses and naturopathic doctors.

Alexis Chesney is also a Certified Emotion Code Practitioner and offers Emotion Code sessions via her private office.

Originally from New York, Dr. Alexis Chesney received a BA from Holy Cross College in Worcester, Massachusetts. She earned a Masters in Science in acupuncture from the University of Bridgeport Acupuncture Institute and a doctorate in naturopathic medicine from the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine, in Connecticut.

Dr. Chesney is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP), Vermont Association of Naturopathic Physicians (VANP), the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society (ILADS) and a founding full member of International Society for Environmentally Acquired Illness (ISEAI).
