Dr. Jennifer Williamson » Find a Physician

Dr. Jen Williamson is the owner and lead physician of Avalon Natural Medicine, a practice she bought in 2017. After Naturopathic Medical School, she worked in Buffalo, New York for a few years both seeing clients and teaching as adjunct faculty at Daemen College’s Complementary and Alternative Therapies program. In 2012, she moved to Vermont 4 months after her first visit in which she was immediately smitten with the state.

Along the way, Dr. Jen as picked up a variety of specialized treatment modalities, many of which she has been the first and/or only physician to be trained in Vermont. These include Walsh’s Advanced Nutrient Therapy (2017), Softwave Tissue Regeneration Technologies (2022), and Pain Reprocessing Therapy (2023). As a fat woman, she also has been an advocate for Fat Liberation and Health At Every Size, as well as being vocally supportive of LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC needs in medicine.

In 2023, she began her transition to working in her current hometown of Saint Albans, while still managing and seeing Softwave patients in Burlington. Avalon Natural Medicine started in 2011 with a single doc in a rented room, and has since grown to two locations and will have four doctors by the end of 2023!
